Japanese Shotokan Karate Association International

Where you gain self-defense skills, championships, and a family

The Japanese Shotokan Karate Association International (JSKA International) clubs teach a traditional form of Japanese martial arts. We've practiced in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area for over 30 years under Sensei M. Tabassi. Sensei Tabassi is a direct student of Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama, who was one of the original students of Shotokan's founder, Gichin Funakoshi.

Under Sensei Tabassi's tutelage, JSKA International clubs have been recognized by Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for outstanding accomplishments and setting the high standard for participation, dedication and hard work in the discipline of martial arts.

JSKA International is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Amateur Karate Federation (AAKF), the sole US national representative of the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF).
